Helmet size guide

Find your helmet size for Studds and SMK helmets in a minute.

Measure your head in 1 minute

  1. Use a soft tape measure (or a string and a ruler).
  2. Wrap it around the widest part of your head: about 2 cm above the eyebrows and just above the ears, across the back of the head.
  3. Read the circumference in centimetres. Measure twice and use the larger number.
  4. Pick the size from the table. Between two sizes? Try the smaller one first: a new helmet should feel snug and will settle by about half a size.

How a helmet should fit

  • Cheek pads press gently on your cheeks; you should not be able to slide a finger in easily.
  • With the strap fastened, the helmet should not roll forward off your head when pushed from the back.
  • No pressure points on the forehead after 10 minutes of wear.
  • Always buy an ISI-certified helmet (IS 4151) for riding in India.
